In her free time, Helen can be found reading a book or watching Doctor Who curled up with her dog, Pippin. Angélique (she/they) giddily joined the BRC in early 2022. A Massachusetts gal transplanted to the Upper Valley of Vermont with pets and a partner, Angélique supports identity-based student programming at Dartmouth College. In Community Engagement and are en route to becoming a Certified Holistic Sex Educator. Much of Angélique’s professional and volunteer work centers sexuality, gender, justice, and health. It was a roundabout way to learn that, if we truly believe everyone deserves a world in which they can thrive in their sexuality and gender, we must include ourselves.

No matter how little or big the amount, donating can start making a difference in the lives of young people around you. The STEM Career Fair was part of the BBBSCM MySTEM initiative . The mission of MySTEM is to provide children with enjoyable STEM engagement opportunities with a mentor to encourage self-esteem and confidence in their abilities. For teenagers we encourage exploration of STEM careers.

Dr Kavle has been a competitive sailor his entire life, starting in Ocean City, New Jersey. He sailed at Yale during his college years and was selected to sail on the Olympic Sailing Team for 1984 in Solings. He continues to race today in an International One Design. He has won the North American Championship for this class as skipper and has placed 2nd in the World Championships in Norway, Sweden and San Francisco as crew.

I worked at Higganum Veterinary clinic feeding the animals and helping my local vet for most of high school and part of college. My local vet took care of dogs and cats and specialized in exotic animals so I took care of all sorts of animals such as lizards, snakes, parrots and sometimes injured wild birds.

Her career started in ecology, where she discovered her love for categorizing invertebrates. She has developed expertise in a broad range of nonprofit management at a variety of organizations, both big and small.

Besides fishing the Farmington river he also fishes around the world, sometimes before and after sailing regattas. His next trip out of the country is scheduled for the Fall of 2023 when he will go to Mongolia to fish for Taimen, the worlds largest trout. He will also be involved in a medical mission during that trip to bring medical care to the children who live on the Mongolian plains who otherwise do not receive regular care.

Jessica is a nonprofit development specialist. She has recently become the first official staff member for BRC and is extremely passionate about nonprofit and community organizations. She holds a Master’s in Public Administration and a Certificate in Digital Marketing Analysis. Originally from Brooklyn, she moved to North Cambridge five years ago. Jess realized her bisexuality when she was a teen when a friend straight up asked her “Hey, are you bi? ” Since then, she has navigated the bi+ world on her own until 2017, when she first learned of BRC.

A self-described “accounting equation bisexual,” Helen Parshall serves as the Senior Communications Manager for AIDS United. Both of which obviously go out the window when you agree to get on a bike and ride with someone or throw your leg over a scoot and call it your own. Or you get the bright idea to start a motorcycle group targeting women riders.
